Siri Paruchuri
Co-President
Hi! I’m Siri, a sophomore in Wharton, concentrating in Finance and Statistics. I have been involved in WUDAC for three semesters now, and I am so excited to serve as WUDAC’s VP of Events. I have always been passionate about connecting like-minded people, and I’m so excited to see WUDAC’s growth this semester.
Outside of WUDAC, I am involved in WUFC, The WALK Fashion Magazine, Wharton Ambassadors, research through the Stevens Center, and I serve as a LGST 1000 Undergraduate TA. Beyond that, I am a huge fan of iced coffee and live music (I have been to over 15 concerts so far).
Samuel Sosa
Co-President
Hi! I’m Samuel, a sophomore studying Computer Science. This semester, I’m serving as WUDAC’s Exec VP, where I help coordinate events, marketing, and high school outreach initiatives. My goal is to strengthen collaboration across committees and lead WUDAC’s outward-facing operations.
Outside of WUDAC, I’ve been involved in the Penn Science Journal and WIBEC. Last summer, I worked as a software research intern at Caltech, where I helped develop models that simulate the growth and adaptation of biological systems. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with UPOC and watching the beautiful game (fútbol).
Laura Li
Vice President of Education
I’m Laura Li, a senior majoring in Math and Computer Science with a minor in Statistics, and I’m also pursuing an accelerated master in Data Science. As the VP of Education, I’m excited to lead the committee to design the curriculum for our Analytics 101 program. Since joining WUDAC in my sophomore year, I’ve really enjoyed sharing my passion for data science and guiding students to explore various technical tools. Last semester, I served as a 201 Project Lead, where my team developed machine learning models for a fintech company to predict fraudulent transactions and mitigate risk.
I’m always captivated by the thrill of exploration in numbers, unveiling hidden patterns and transforming them into new angles to see the world. I have worked as a data analyst to help company analyze market potential for their products, research analyst at a VC firm to evaluate potential commercialization of tech projects, and I’m joining a hedge fund this summer for semi-systematic investing.
Outside the classroom, I’m a card game enthusiast – Poker, Figgie, and One Night Werewolf are my favorites – and an avid sports lover, everything from volleyball, golf to skiing.
Savir Basil
Vice President of Projects
I’m Savir, a sophomore studying Finance and Statistics at Wharton along with an accelerated masters in Systems Engineering. This is my third semester in WUDAC, previously as an Analyst in the 201 program and then as a Technical Lead last spring. I’m excited to be the VP of Projects, overseeing the Projects committee that consults for real world companies using data science.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside and especially playing tennis and golf. Looking forward to working with everyone!
Aadam Mulla
Vice President of Education
Hi! I’m Aadam, a sophomore in SEAS majoring in Electrical Engineering, with an accelerated masters in Systems Engineering. This is my second semester serving as the VP of Education where I work with the committee to design and teach our 8-week Analytics 101 workshop. I love creating material for and teaching data science concepts to a large group of students each semester.
Outside of WUDAC, I love teaching and am a TA for three courses on campus. I also am involved with Bridge to Math at UPenn. Outside of academics, I love to play badminton and learn new languages.
Eric Hu
Vice President of Marketing
Hi, I’m Eric Hu, a sophomore studying mathematics and economics, along with a minor in statistics. I’m thrilled to serve as WUDAC’s VP of Marketing this semester to develop WUDAC’s voice and presence across various social media channels, promote WUDAC events across campus, and work to increase member engagement.
Outside of WUDAC, I’m involved with PMC, UES, and the Penn Wind Ensemble, and served as a MATH 1400 TA. In my free time, I enjoy cartography, playing pickleball, and watching movies. I’m looking forward to collaborating with all the new WUDAC members this semester!
Pritika Kharkwal
Vice President of Finance
Hello!
I’m Pritika Kharkwal, one of the VP’s for WUDAC this semester. I’m a freshman in Wharton studying finance, business analytics and data science.
I love WUDAC because of their hands-on experiential approach to learning data science. This semester, as a consultant with WUCC, I am applying my data and finance skills working with our client Visa– and many things I learned in WUDAC carry forward to real world experiences!!
In my free time, I love trying new foods, traveling, watching rom-coms, playing ping pong and playing fun games– like escape rooms and laser tag!
