Aashika Vishwanath
President
I'm Aashika, a junior at Penn studying Computer Science (BSE). I'm also pursuing minors in Statistics and Engineering Entrepreneurship and an accelerated masters in Data Science (MSE). I'm currently the President of WUDAC and have been in this club for 6 semesters now. Other than WUDAC, I've also been a senior analyst at WAF where I've worked with companies such as IKEA and Petco to optimize their advertising and marketing strategies through data science. In prior summers, I've worked at firms as an AI research assistant, technical investment analyst, and data science intern, and enjoy exploring new ML techniques as well as investment strategies. I've also been an Indian classical dancer for 16 years and am a member of Penn Thillana. I'm excited to meet all of you and help shape WUDAC this semester!
Laura Li
Co-Vice President of Education
I’m Laura Li, a junior majoring in Math and Computer Science with a minor in Statistics, and I’m also pursuing an accelerated master in Data Science. As the VP of Education, I’m excited to lead the committee to design the curriculum for our Analytics 101 program. Since joining WUDAC in my sophomore year, I’ve really enjoyed sharing my passion for data science and guiding students to explore various technical tools. Last semester, I served as a 201 Project Lead, where my team developed machine learning models for a fintech company to predict fraudulent transactions and mitigate risk.
I’m always captivated by the thrill of exploration in numbers, unveiling hidden patterns and transforming them into new angles to see the world. I have worked as a data analyst to help company analyze market potential for their products, research analyst at a VC firm to evaluate potential commercialization of tech projects, and I’m joining a hedge fund this summer for semi-systematic investing.
Outside the classroom, I’m a card game enthusiast – Poker, Figgie, and One Night Werewolf are my favorites – and an avid sports lover, everything from volleyball, golf to skiing.
Tanvi Pabbathi
Co-Vice President of Education
I’m Tanvi, and I’m so excited to serve as one of the VPs of Education for WUDAC this semester. I’m a sophomore studying Computer Science with minors in Math and Statistics. This is my second semester in WUDAC, my first being as a part of the Education Committee. I joined WUDAC because I’m passionate about data science and love having the opportunity to help others learn more about it!
Outside of class, I’m on the club field hockey team at Penn and enjoy listening to music and hanging out with friends! Really excited to be a Co-VP of Education this semester!
Sarah Mosalem
Vice President of Finance
I’m Sarah Mosalem, and I’m excited to serve as VP of Finance for WUDAC this semester. I’m a Sophomore studying Computer Science and Cognitive Science, and this is my fourth semester in WUDAC. I joined WUDAC because I appreciate how it values technical skills with real-world applications, and I’ve enjoyed seeing how data can impact decisions across industries.
This past summer, I worked as a data analyst intern, and I’m currently continuing my passion for data science at a startup while building on research with a professor.
Outside of academics, I enjoy surfing, playing tennis, baking, and traveling. I’m looking forward to contributing to WUDAC’s growth and collaborating with all of the members this semester!
Michelle Li
Vice President of Marketing
Hi, I’m Michelle Li, a freshman studying Finance and Statistics. I’m thrilled to serve as WUDAC’s VP of Marketing this semester to develop WUDAC’s voice and presence across various social media channels, promote WUDAC events across campus, and work to increase member engagement.
Outside of WUDAC, I'm involved in WUPP, WAX, MUSE, and Penn’s Wind Ensemble. Last fall I also interned as a Market Research and Sales Associate for a startup working on a government CRM platform. In my free time I enjoy cooking and crocheting. I’m looking forward to collaborating with all the new WUDAC members this semester!
Dominic Chang
Vice President of Projects
Hi, I’m Dominic Chang, VP of Projects. I’m a sophomore studying CIS in SEAS.
I love WUDAC because I’m passionate about Data Analytics and love all the different opportunities the club provides. I’ve done 2 semesters with WAF and have ML/AI experience from past research. I’m also a coach on the Penn Club Swim team. Outside of school, I love sports and exploring the Philly food scene. Fun fact: I’m a big F1 fan, go Ferrari!
Samuel Sosa
Vice President of Events
I’m Samuel Sosa, and I’m excited to serve as VP of Events for WUDAC this semester! I’m a first-year studying Computer Science, and I enjoy data science because it connects fields like finance, technology, and medicine. I also love teaching and event planning—whether it’s organizing logistics or creating initiatives that make data science more accessible.
Outside of WUDAC, I’m a Writer-Editor for the Penn Science Journal. Over the past two summers, I conducted machine learning research with a Stanford SHTEM professor, focusing on algorithmic development and its real-world applications.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor running, playing soccer, and trying new cuisines. I’m excited for a great semester with WUDAC and can’t wait to collaborate on impactful events!
