Become a WUDAC Member!
HOW TO JOIN
WUDAC welcomes all undergraduates, regardless of school, and hosts events throughout the semester that are open to everyone. To stay up to date with our workshops, events, and other opportunities, join the WUDAC listserv to become a General Body Member.
General Body Members can attend WUDAC events and learn data science through WUDAC’s Analytics 101 Program and consult for WUDAC’s partner companies through the Analytics 202 Program.
In addition to becoming a GBM, there are 3 other ways to enhance your involvement:
Join a Committee: Applications will be accepted for the Education, Events, and Marketing committees through our centralized application on Penn Clubs.
Apply for Wharton Analytics Fellows (WAF): This enables students to gain real-world analytics experience through consulting projects with companies.
Apply for the Executive Board: Members with great event attendance and committee involvement have the best chance of joining the Executive Board.
FALL 2024 GBM ENGAGEMENT PLAN

COMPONENTS
Member Socials:
Social events such as BYOs, group discussions, and more.
Provide opportunities for members to discuss the fast-evolving fields of data science, analytics, and AI.
Enable networking with other passionate members of the Penn community.
Analytics 101:
A semester-long initiative to cultivate a passion for data among students of all backgrounds.
Students will learn how to find stories in data, perform exploratory data analysis, and build coding fluency with modern data science tools.
Guided by the education committee.
By the end of the program, students will apply their learning to data analysis and machine learning on chosen application areas and datasets.
Analytics 201:
A semester-long opportunity for students to engage in small teams with a real-world dataset.
Builds on previous Wharton AIAB initiatives and Wharton Analytics Fellows engagements.
The education committee will guide students through exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, building statistical and machine learning models, and deriving actionable conclusions.
Teams will present their findings at the end of the semester.
Events:
Various events hosted throughout the semester, including recruiting events and speaker events.
Featuring leading thinkers in data science and AI, as well as alumni.
